2021 Ford Bronco | Winnipeg

It may seem like SUVs are recently taking over the market, but their history stretches back further than most people think. The iconic Ford Bronco was launched back in 1965 and has a solid claim to being the first mainstream example of the format. We have the new 2021 Ford Bronco available in our Winnipeg dealership, and here are the main highlights of the model as it returns after two decades away. Although the Bronco nameplate has a long and venerable history, the 2021 version is a completely new vehicle from top to bottom, bringing the historic SUV firmly into the present.

Design

The new Bronco's design makes an instant impression, moving away from the commonplace SUV format into an area that's clearly aimed at rugged off-road exploits. The bold lines and angles hint at the power under the hood, and the overall effect is of a tough but handsome vehicle that will take any terrain in its stride.

True Off-Road Performance

At the entry-level of the Bronco range, the powertrain is based around a 2.3L gas turbo I-4 making 270 horsepower and 310lb-ft of torque. The output is passed to all-wheel drive through your choice of a six-speed manual or ten-speed automatic transmission, with the latter offering torque-sharing driving modes for Mud, Slippery, Rock Crawling, Sport, and more. If that raw power isn't quite enough, there's also a 2.7L twin-turbo V6 pushing out 310hp and 400lb-ft, providing performance that handles even the toughest of trail conditions with ease.

Infotainment

But while the focus of the 2021 Bronco is firmly on off-road adventuring, there's no shortage of infotainment and another tech in the interior. The base touchscreen is a generous 8", rising to a huge 12" in higher trims. The infotainment system is powered by the acclaimed Ford Sync 4 software, providing intuitive access to features including Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, in-built navigation, and a Wi-Fi hotspot capability.

Safety Systems

The high level of technology continues with the excellent range of active safety and driver-assist systems included either as standard or as accessible upgrades. Key features include lane departure warnings with keeping assist, forward collision warnings, automated emergency braking, and much more.
